Course Guide
Prerequisites
Course Description
Examines models
of
and societal and personal assumptions about leadership. Elements, factors,
and processes that give rise to effective executive and managerial leadership are discussed and
applied to large, complex organizations. Addresses the theory, concepts, research, and practice
in
conflict analysis and resolution. The roles
of
private and public-sector leaders
in
conceptualizing,
planning, and managing innovation and change, and
in
mediating conflicts are explored, as are the
theoretical bases
of
various decision-making and problem-solving strategies.

As a leader, you will manage a diverse workforce. Workforce diversity includes differences across
multiple characteristics: age and generation, gender culture, religion, sexual orientation, and other

social differences. These differences create the potential for conflict, and your task as a manager is
to provide appropriate conflict resolution support so that the workforce functions effectively and
efficiently.
In
addition, it is key for the leader to identify how they contribute to creating a culture
of
belonging, which hopefully will reduce conflict for all employees by assessing their position on the
Inclusive Leader Continuum.
Instructions
In
a four to five page paper, address the following:
o Explain why conflict exists in diverse workforces, addressing the causes
of
conflict and
multiple aspects
of
diversity. Title this section Conflict

o Describe

Instructions
For this assignment, you will create a presentation with
